CES Wings Express students learn while having fun

Campbellsville Elementary School Wings Express students are studying hard, but having fun, too.

At Wings Express, students first have a snack and work on their homework and spelling words.

But after the work is done for the day, students enjoy playing games together.

Students recently played math and shapes Bingo, built with Play-Doh and Legos and colored together.

At Wings Express, students receive help with reading, math, science, technology, social skills and more. They also participate in activities to learn about nutrition.

Wings Express students stay at school from 3 to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Fridays for activities.

There are no Wings Express activities on Wednesdays.

Students are given a snack and then divided into groups to participate in programs that best fit their needs.

About 90 students will participate in the Wings Express program.

Amanda Barnett is Wings Express director.

For more information about the program, call Barnett at (270) 465-4561 Ext. 31141.
