CES students ‘level up’ with Lexia

Campbellsville Elementary School students who recently “leveled up” with the Lexia and Reading Plus programs were honored at a school-wide assembly on Friday, Jan. 20.

 

Lexia and Reading Plus are technology-based reading programs that help increase reading proficiency for pre-kindergarten students through high school seniors.

 

About 175 students were recognized at CES on Jan. 20 for increasing their reading proficiency level using the programs from Jan. 3 through Jan. 19.

 

Vivian York, a third-grader, was honored for completing all 18 levels of the Lexia program.

 

Several classes were honored for meeting 100 percent usage on Lexia and/or Reading Plus for the week of Jan. 9. They include Lisa Wiseman’s kindergarten class, Amanda Greer’s and Hailey Ogle’s first-grade classes, Melanie Cox’s second-grade class and Marcia Sharp’s third-grade class.

 

Ogle’s and Sharp’s classes were also honored for meeting 100 percent usage for the week of Jan. 16.

 

Kindergarteners honored include Daven Davis, Jason Eggers, Lillie Judd, Aubreigh Knifley, Bentley Shively, Michael Terry, Zoe Weddle, Gavin Williams, Aubrey Allen, Addison Beckley, Joey Bledsoe, Mason Edwards, Raelin Goddard, Destinee Henry-Turner, Bradyen Perkins, Quincy Travis, Conor Gayheart, Gracie Gebler, ReAnna Jeffries, Enrique McDonald, John Hagan Newton, Addison Perkins, Nevaeh Shofner, Aleeya Spaulding, Isabelle Stout, Kaylee Thompson and Jyra Welch.
