CES students practice rhyming

Campbellsville Elementary School students recently practiced their rhyming skills.

In CES Explorers, students read “Olaf’s Night Before Christmas” and then played Santa’s rhyme time.

Students were given a worksheet and asked to cut out several pictures. Then, students were asked to see if the pictures they cut out rhyme with several Christmas words, such as tree, bell and deer. Afterward, students could color their pictures.

CES Explorers is one of several activity classes that students have each week. Miriah Cox, who leads the CES Explorers class, teaches students about reading strategies, vowel sounds, parts of speech, reading comprehension and much more.
