Campbellsville Elementary School Wings Express students recently had fun watching a Christmas movie and sampling some hot chocolate.
On Friday, Dec. 9, students attended the last day of Wings Express for 2016.
To have some fun on their last day, students dressed in their pajamas and enjoyed cupcakes, candy canes and hot chocolate while watching “Santa Clause 3” together on a big screen in the CES gym.
CES Wings Express programs will begin again on Thursday, Jan. 5.
Wings Express is a program to help students with homework and other activities. Students receive help with reading, math, science, technology, social skills and more. They also participate in activities to learn about nutrition.
Wings Express students stay at school from 3 to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Fridays for activities.
Students are given a snack and then divided into groups to participate in programs that best fit their needs.
About 90 students will participate in the Wings Express program.
Amanda Barnett is Wings Express director.
