Campbellsville Elementary School Wings Express program recently hosted a Family Night event for participants and their parents to have fun and learn together.
Family Night focused on providing math activities for Wings Express participants and their parents.
Those attending were treated to chili and desserts, and had fun drawing and coloring together.
Wings Express is a program to help students with homework and other activities. Students receive help with reading, math, science, technology, social skills and more. They also participate in activities to learn about nutrition.
Wings Express students stay at school from 3 to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and from 1 to 3 p.m. on Fridays for activities.
Students are given a snack and then divided into groups to participate in programs that best fit their needs.
About 90 students will participate in the Wings Express program.
Amanda Barnett is Wings Express director.
