Campbellsville Middle School recently announced its academic achievers for October.
A boy and a girl from each grade level are named, and were recognized at the Campbellsville Board of Education’s meeting on Monday, Oct. 16.
Those recognized include:
Lillee Byrne is the daughter of Cindy Biggs and Corey Byrne. She enjoys playing the guitar and piano. Social studies is her favorite subject and Bradley Harris is her favorite teacher. Her future plans are to attend college and major in film and later direct her own movie.
Zachary Akin is the son of Lorraine Veloudis and Rocky Akin. Bradley Harris is his favorite teacher and math is his favorite subject. He enjoys Beta Club, Y-Club, band and being a high school marching band assistant. His future plans are to be a doctor, an inventor or perhaps both.
MaCayla Falls is the daughter of Matt and Cathy Falls. She enjoys being on the archery and cross country teams, academic team, Lighthouse team and Y-Club. Science is her favorite class and Cheryl Dicken is her favorite teacher. She plans to own and operate an orthodontics practice, providing free services to children living in poverty.
Connor Byrd is the son of Kevin and Tarra Byrd. He enjoys playing basketball. Michael Despain is his favorite teacher and social studies is his favorite class. He wants to attend the University of Kentucky and be a crime scene investigator.
Tayler Thompson is the daughter of Kim and Greg Thompson. She enjoys the Beta Club, KUNA, KYA and playing volleyball and basketball. Math is her favorite subject and Robbilyn Speer is her favorite teacher. Her future plans are to attend the University of Kentucky or Lindsey Wilson College to be a traveling nurse.
Tezon Mitchell is the son of Miranda Powers and Isaiah Gilbert. He enjoys playing video games, reading and drawing. His favorite class is math and Tyler Hardy is his favorite teacher. His future plans are to go to a technological university such Utah or Full Sail University to become a video game designer/creator or a Pro E-Sport gamer.
