CMS baseball team blanks Adair County

Campbellsville Middle School baseball team recently defeated Adair County.

 

In the A game, CMS won by a score of 10-0.

 

Eighth-grader Tristin Faulkner pitched four innings, allowing no walks and striking out six.

 

CMS had eight hits, led by eighth-grader Kameron Smith with two.

 

In the B game, CMS won by a score of 1-0.

 

Seventh-grader Seth Hash pitched a four-inning shutout.

 

He also scored the only run in the game by reaching base on an error. He scored on an RBI by sixth-grader Kaydon Taylor.

 

Lynn Kearney is the head CMS baseball coach. Assistants are Brett Sowell, George Boyd and Daniel Forbis.

 

The CMS team will host Russell County on Monday, April 24, at the Campbellsville High School field. Games begin at 5:30 p.m.
