CMS students win awards at KUNA

Campbellsville Middle School students recently attended the KUNA convention and brought home some awards.

 

CMS Y-Club members attended the Kentucky United Nations Assembly on March 19-21 at Crown Plaza in Louisville.

 

Campbellsville High School freshmen Zaria Cowan and Cole Kidwell also attended KUNA and served in leadership roles.

 

Cowan was president of the United Nations General Assembly, and Kidwell served as president of the Security Council. They were elected at last year’s KUNA events.

 

Eighth-graders Zaquan Cowan, Devan Keith, Chloe Bennett and Kaylee Reynolds, authored and presented a resolution at KUNA.

 

CMS sixth-grader Wesley Reynolds served in the parliamentary.

 

Overall, the CMS group received Delegation of Excellence awards and an honorable mention in cultural attire for its presentation about Greece.

 

CMS eighth-grade teacher Robbilyn Speer sponsors the Y-Club.
