CMS students help organize local shoe drive

Campbellsville Middle School students are helping a local organization collect shoes for people in need.

As a service project, CMS sixth-graders are working with the Sports Reach sports ministry organization to send shoes to people in the United States and other countries.

Campbellsville University and Lindsey Wilson College students, along with local churches, are collecting shoes to donate.

When shoes are collected, they are brought to CMS students to organize and package.

After the shoes are prepared, they will be shipped to help people in Belize, Liberia, Costa Rica and homeless shelters in Indiana, Ohio and Florida.

Shoe drives are stationed at AutoSmart and Campbellsville Baptist Church.

For more information, contact CMS sixth-grade teacher Jan Speer at (270) 465-5121.
