Campbellsville Middle School is hosting several Sweetheart Week events this week, leading up to the annual semi-formal dance on Friday.
The school will have dress-up days each day this week. Students must pay $1 each day to participate.
Monday was TV and Movie Character Day.
Tuesday was Tacky Tourist Day.
Wednesday was Dynamic Duo Day.
Thursday is Thrift Shop Finds Day.
Friday is a teacher work day, with students dismissed from class.
The school will also host a hallway decorating contest this week, pitting each grade level against each other. The theme is “love,” and hallways will be judged on Friday.
The grade with the most dress-up day participation during the week will earn an extra 10 points for the hallway decorating contest.
And the grade level winning the decorating contest will win a week of dress-down days.
The semi-formal dance will end the week on Friday. Tickets are on sale now and can also be purchased at the dance.
Single tickets are $5 each, and couple tickets are $8.
The dance will be in the school’s multi-purpose room from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Concessions will be available.
All proceeds from the week will go toward the Campbellsville High School band.
