Campbellsville Middle School students are studying pop art, and making some of their own.
In Jo Ann Harris’s classes, students are learning about pop artist Jim Dine.
Pop art, as Harris told her students, is art based on pop culture and the trends of the time period.
Pop art can be made from everyday items. Dine made art by painting colorful bathrobes and hearts.
To illustrate the pop art concept, students made their own drawings of hearts using oil pastels.
