CMS students have fun, raise money to help others

Campbellsville Middle School students recently hosted a dance to raise money for local children and those who lost their belongings as a result of Hurricane Matthew.

Proceeds from admission and concession sales at the dance on Friday, Dec. 9, were given to Hurricane Matthew victims and the local Toys for Kids organization.

Toys for Kids organizers collect money and purchase toys for children in the Campbellsville community who otherwise might not receive Christmas gifts.

Students recently purchased $300 worth of toys for the Toys for Kids effort.

Money and items are still being collected for Hurricane Matthew victims.

CMS students are collecting bottled water, first aid items, gloves, new socks, tissues, hand sanitizer, winter supplies, mosquito nets, blankets, cleaning supplies, paper products and new toothbrushes and toothpaste.

To donate supplies or money, contact the CMS office at (270) 465-5121.
