CMS art students study Van Gogh

Campbellsville Middle School art students recently studied Van Gogh’s artwork, and drew their own work based on his style.

In Jo Ann Harris’s class, students discussed how artists are often known for creating a series of work, like Van Gogh’s paintings of sunflowers.

Students discussed how Van Gogh used different shades of warm and cool colors to paint many different types of sunflowers.

Harris then asked students to draw their own sunflowers with oil pastels.
