CMS students purchase toys for children

Campbellsville Middle School students recently raised money to buy toys for local children who might not otherwise receive them this Christmas.

CMS Lighthouse Service Action Committee members raised money by hosting a school dance and receiving donations from teachers.

The team recently purchased more than $300 worth of toys for Campbellsville Fire & Rescue’s annual Toys for Kids effort.

Service Action Committee members are seventh-graders Lainey Watson, Kaylyn Smith, Riley Rainwater and Sarah Adkins.

Adkins, Smith and Watson delivered the toys to Captain Keith Bricken recently, to be delivered to local children on Christmas Eve.

CMS Guidance Counselor Beth Wiedewitsch is the Service Action team leader.
