CMS students shop with AR points

Campbellsville Middle School students recently took their Accelerated Reader points shopping.

Accelerated Reader is a motivational program used to help students develop reading skills. Students read books and answer questions about them. The student is awarded points based on how many questions they answer correctly on the quiz.

CMS students are given an AR point goal to reach each nine-week grading period.

After accumulating some points, students can spend them at the school’s Family Resource and Youth Services Center Accelerated Reader store.

Students can buy items such as pencils, erasers, pencil grips, bookmarks, bracelets and much more.

Some students choose to spend their points, while others save them to purchase larger items toward the end of the school year.
