Students spend time each day learning about science, math, reading and social studies, but recently began focusing on their penmanship.

 

One day each week in their leadership classes, fifth-graders practice writing cursive letters.

CMS art students make koinobori

 

Campbellsville Middle School art students are making koinobori wind socks to celebrate a Japanese holiday.

 

In Japan, on Children’s Day, people fly carp-shaped wind socks known as koinobori. The carp, which can swim up waterfalls, is used as a symbol for the holiday because it represents strength and courage.

CMS celebrates boys’ basketball championship wins

 

Campbellsville Middle School students recently celebrated its boys’ basketball team winning this year’s Central Kentucky Middle School Athletic Conference tournament championship.

 

The CMS boys’ eighth-grade basketball team ended its season last month with regular season and tournament championship wins.
