CHS girls’ basketball team is 20th District tournament champions

 

Campbellsville High School girls’ basketball team is this year’s 20th District tournament champions.

 

CHS took on Marion County in the championship game on Friday, Feb. 23, and won by a score of 51-41.

 

In addition to the championship win, the CHS team also advances to the 5th region tournament.

 

This will be the CHS team’s first region appearance since 2002.

CHS boys’ basketball team defeats Taylor County, to play in District championship

 

Campbellsville High School boys’ basketball team defeated Taylor County in the first round of the 20th District tournament, and advances to the championship game.

 

CHS beat Taylor County on Thursday, Feb. 22, by a score of 58-50.

 

This is the third time CHS has defeated Taylor County this season.

 

With the win, CHS also advances to the 5th region tournament.

CHS students study bacteria

 

Campbellsville High School students are studying how bacteria grows.

 

In Lauren Bennett’s biology classes, students are learning about where bacteria can be found, its purpose and how it grows.

 

As a laboratory exercise, students recently collected some bacteria and will watch it grow over the next several days.

FRYSC to host volunteer training

 

Campbellsville Independent Schools’ Family Resource and Youth Services Center will host volunteer training on Tuesday, March 13.

 

The training will be at the FRYSC Center, which is located at Campbellsville High School, at 10 a.m.
