CHS girls’ JV basketball team defeats Hart County

Campbellsville High School girls’ basketball team recently took on Hart County.

 

In the junior varsity match up, CHS was victorious.

 

Final score was 41-35.

 

And in the varsity game, CHS fought until the end, but couldn’t get the win.

 

Final score was 53-61.

 

Campbellsville Middle School eighth-grader Bri Gowdy had 19 points. CHS senior Kiyah Barnett had 15.

 

Anthony Epps is the CHS girls’ basketball head coach.

 

Assistant coaches are Katie Wilkerson, Natalia Warren and Debbie Gowdy-Smith.

 

CHS will host the 20th District varsity tournaments the week of Feb. 19.

 

The girls’ tournament will be played on Tuesday, Feb. 20, with the championship game Friday, Feb. 23.

 

Girls’ games will begin at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20, with a game between Marion and Taylor counties. CHS will take on Adair County at 7:30 p.m.

 

The winners will advance to the championship game on Friday, Feb. 23, at 7 p.m.

 

Tickets for the games are $6 per night. Children in first grade and older will be required to buy a ticket.
