CHS student named to academic all-state first team

Campbellsville High School cross country runner Ian McAninch, a junior, has received an academic honor for his performance in the classroom.

 

The Kentucky Track and Cross Country Coaches Association recently named McAninch, a junior, to the Academic All-State First Team.

 

McAninch also recently competed in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association boys’ cross country meet at the Kentucky Horse Park.

 

He competed against 264 runners, made up of teams and individual runners from across the state.

 

McAninch finished the 3.1-mile race in 20 minutes and seven seconds, in 166th place.

 

Steve Doss is the CHS cross country coach.
