CHS students make tortilla pizzas

Campbellsville High School students recently learned to make tortilla pizzas.

Angie Freeman, expanded foods and nutrition program assistant at Taylor County Extension Office, recently came to CHS to talk to students.

In Deanna Campbell’s foodsand nutrition classes, Freeman taught students to make tortilla pizza.

First, students learned the proper techniques to cut vegetables.

Students chopped peppers, onions, broccoli, carrots and mushrooms.

Next, students added spaghetti sauce to their tortillas, and then added cheese and vegetables.

To go along with their pizzas, students made blueberry water to encourage them to drink more water.
