CHS girls’ basketball team defeats Fort Knox

Campbellsville High School girls’ varsity basketball team recently defeated Fort Knox.

 

Final score was 67-16.

 

CHS junior Vonnea Smith led her team with 12 points.

 

Nena Barnett, also a junior, had 10 points.

 

Campbellsville Middle School eighth-grader Kenzi Forbis had 10 points and two rebounds.

 

CHS will play in this year’s 20th district tournament next week.

 

In the first round, CHS will play Adair County on Tuesday, Feb. 21. Game time is 8 p.m. at Adair County High School.

 

Anthony Epps is in his first year as CHS girls’ basketball head coach.

 

Assistant coaches are Katie Wilkerson, Natalia Warren, George Eon and Debbie Gowdy-Smith.
