CHS loses close game to Green County in Holiday Classic

Campbellsville High School boys’ basketball team lost a very close game to Green County on Thursday, Dec. 29, in the second round of the CHS Holiday Classic.

 

Final score was 55-57.

 

CHS will now play for third place in the tournament on Friday, Dec. 30, at 5:30 p.m.

 

Sponsors for the classic include Campbellsville University, Murakami, Citizens Bank and Trust Co. and H&W Sport Shop.

 

Tim Davis is in his 22nd year as CHS boys’ basketball head coach.

 

Assistant coaches are Cody Wills, Will Griffin, Chris “Scoop” Smith and Chris “Peewee” Smith.

 

After the holiday break, the CHS team will resume regular season action.

 

The boys’ freshmen team will take on LaRue County on Monday, Jan. 2, at 6:30 p.m. at the CHS gym.

 

The JV team will play Taylor County on Monday, Jan. 2, at 5 p.m. at the CHS gym.

 

And the varsity squad will travel to LaRue County on Tuesday, Jan. 3.
