CHS students chosen to participate in WKU honor band

Campbellsville High School students were recently chosen to participate in Western Kentucky University’s honor band weekend.

Three students – seniors Laura Lamb and Murphy Lamb and junior Austin Fitzgerald – were chosen to participate in the weekend.

And three additional students – junior Chaz Babbs, sophomore Nick Cowan and freshman Conner Riley – were chosen as first alternates for the program.

The students will travel to WKU on Jan. 26-28 to practice and perform on campus.

More than 800 students were nominated to participate in the weekend.

WKU honor band is one of the best honor events in Kentucky, and is a great honor for students.

Zach Shelton is CHS band director.
