CHS students inducted into National Honor Society

Campbellsville High School students were recently inducted into the school’s National Honor Society.

New members for the 2016-2017 school year include sophomores Jeremiah Jackson, Abbie Dicken, Elizabeth Sullivan, Reagan Knight and Myles Murrell and juniors Ryan Wiedewitsch and Connor Wilson.

To become a member, students must be a sophomore, have a 3.5 GPA or higher and be in good academic standing. Members also exhibit strong leadership skills, being active in their school and community and have exemplary character.

Students must complete an application to become a NHS member, which asks students to write about their leadership and service experience and submit a personal statement to express their beliefs and values.

The purpose of the CHS NHS chapter is to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership and to encourage the development of character in all students at Campbellsville High School.

Susan Dabney is the NHS sponsor.
